I was never actively into blogging, particularly writing. Somehow I could never complete a blog without losing out on the thoughts. Quite often I would stray from one topic to another and end up hitting the save button. And then I would a make a number of promises to myself that I will come back to it later. There are a few blogs read on regular basis and quite often then not, I always thought I can add something to it or had some comments for the posts. But my laziness would be an impediment and often I would give it a skip.
Since having moved out of my venture since last two weeks , I was thinking on what all activities I can undertake to keep myself engaged. Just to share , I had co-founded a recruitment services firm . After having headed for almost last three years I have taken a break from it now. With passing time there was a sense of ennui setting in and I was thinking of moving into something else. And then certain incidents, both internal and external, made me realise this is perhaps the best time to move on. So here I am jobless once again. But not clueless though
. Through this blog I intend to share my thoughts and perspectives on various developments around me and also try and record my thoughts as I start exploring fresh avenues for me.
Having been in the recruiting space for little more then three years, so quite often the blogs will be about the latest in the recruiting space. There is a lot of buzz about web 2.0 and some people are also talking about jobs 2.0 . I am yet to figure out what does Jobs 2.0 means. Is it moving beyond the likes of naukri and monster and more community oriented approach to recruiting. There is no denying that this will be a more innovative approach to recruiting. It will be more subtle compared to mail boxes being deluged with mails advertising jobs. One more aspect to be debated is employer branding something which the most known job portals have missed out completely.
I will try to cover a variety of topics through this blog. Once in a while there can be an odd post about IPL , media and politics. With elections coming up how can I ever give it a skip. On the starting note lets hope that we get a government which is stable and is serious about the infrastructure issues in Bangalore.
Cheers
